I’m very pleased to announce that our new Executive Director will join the Child Rights Coalition Cambodia (CRC-Cambodia) in accordance with the results of the secretariat’s recruitment process among multiple candidates and with the decision of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Yan Lay will be the new Executive Director of the CRC-Cambodia. He was the former Operation Director of the CRC-Cambodia and has been working in the non-profit-sector, mainly in children’s rights and child protection, for more than 10 years in operations, senior management, and leadership positions. He has excellent skills in communication, networking, grant management, organizational development, capacity development, administrative reform, and community development. He will assume his role on January 1, 2021 and can be reached at ed@crc-cambodia.org or +855 (0) 17 427 200. Mr. Son PenH will continue to serve as a Part-time Executive Director until Mr. Yan Lay assumes the role, in order to ensure effective and smooth operations and transition.
I have utmost confidence that Mr. Yan Lay will move the CRC-Cambodia to the next level and dedicate it to the coalition’s goals and mission. The CRC-Cambodia, formerly the NGO Coalition on the Rights of the Child (NGOCRC), was founded in 1994 as an alliance of national and international non-governmental organizations focused on children’s rights. It has played an important role in monitoring and reporting on the situation of children’s rights in Cambodia, while coordinating the efforts of civil society organizations and the government to protect the rights and wellbeing of children around the country. Mr. Yan Lay will effectively lead the coalition to continue this crucial endeavor.
